I'm starting my semi custom interior for my 40 plymouth...it never had the driver's arm rest and the p*** side is shot anyway. I'm looking at the 51-56 ford truck arm rests for my front doors since they have a really nice style to them but my issue is mounting them. The 40 ply arm rests use straight thru screws. Anyone have pics of they're ford arm rests and how they mount...looks like it'll need angled brackets for the screws....just wondering how I'd do this. Thanks for looking-
Yes, they are angled screwed into the door into special pop-in clip. Available thru Mid-Ffity F-100 Parts, as are the arm rests. http://www.midfifty.com/item.php?INV_ID=8330 Cut a rectangular hole in the door and these pop in. Template I think is included when you buy the armrests too.
