It hit the Fox Valley to the north and the Stoughton area down by Madison pretty good. All we saw was some gnarly dark clouds and about 15 minutes of heavy rain as we drove into Fond du Lac to pick up some groceries.

A friend of mine in Stoughton said it went right threw the million dollar homes along the golf course and made a big mess. If you watched the weather channel they showed it.

  22. We are okay here. I was at our subdivision annual meeting Thursday. Good thing the twister two miles south missed us or our whole neighborhood would have been wiped out by hitting just one house.

  23. I lost about 25 trees on my 10 acres, but that was a week ago...
Big Oaks and Maples. Broke off half way up...

I woke up to a thrashing storm, and my curtains were all sucked tight to the windows. I opened a few, and heard what sounded like a train whistle. It was far away, like a tornado that might have just been forming...? I don't know.
There was nothing on the news, that I saw, but, then again, I live in the middle of a national forest and cell phones and Doppler radar haven't been invented, here. :D

Hope everyone's okay down there. I remember Oakfield a few years back... That wasn't pretty.

Bob Bleed, you might want to give Chris a call. I heard Chris's dads place received some damage......windows blown in and a tree limb went through the roof. I don't have their phone # so I haven't talked to them, but heard they were NOT hurt.

    Yeah Bob,
Chris IS the best interior guy in the world (bar none! he did my '54, built me a sectional sofa and is an all around genius not to mention my best friend). BTW...have we met? Stoughton did get hit hard. I grew up there but live elsewhere now. My older bro is a State Trooper, lives in Stoughton and has been putting in lots of hours for the State, coming home and putting in lots hours helping friends and families. He's exhausted.
Chris said he's about at the end of his rope. Lots of people wanna help, but lotsa people have different opinions on how to help ya. Mostly tree removal.
Chris' parents house was hit, but fortunately the shop is intact. The interior project he's currently working on was unnaffected. Ray's truck is OK, he thinks the Buick is allright. He said he helped get a '47 Ford out from under some trees, and much to their surprise, it came out without any damage!
I saw two pictures of tornado's behind buildings...one was behind the Open Pantry 1/2 block from my dad's house......and one was behind the Wal Mart that Chris was in when the whole thing hit. All I know is that it's a mess up there. Wish I could help.
