[FONT=&quot]Hey this is Roxndoxn aka Daniel from Bigdaddy's House helping him out. He is at home but the last few weeks have been rough. Here is an update. I know he knows a lot of people on here.

[FONT=&quot]He went to the Hospital over Labor Day Weekend with some tingling and numbness in his hands and feet as well as some chest pain. The Dr told him he was having a panic attack and sent him home. After being laid off for the last 6 months John only on his 3<sup>rd</sup> week of his new job kept working but things were getting worse. On September 13<sup>th</sup> he went back to the ER and was told the same thing and was going to get sent home. John demanded that he talk to someone else because at this point his index, middle and next finger were completely numb and he also his feet from the ankle down and he was having trouble even walking. He was admitted that night and the next day after tons of test nothing came back negative. He then had to get a spinal tap that confirmed his spine and fluid was inflamed and he was diagnosed with Guillian Barre Syndrome. This syndrome attacks your nervous system. Guillain-Barré syndrome only affects 1 out of every 100K a year. He immediately got treatment for the Syndrome for the next 6 days.

He has been home from the Hospital for a few weeks. He has Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy until at least the New Year, twice a week for both. He still has numbness in his hands and feet and well as his back. He is walking with a cane and gets tired easy. Rehab is between 1-6 months they say. The job he just started a job 3 weeks prior laid him off.

Going from being a provider with his wife staying home with their two daughters, 2 and 7 months to being pretty much assisted over night is not something that sits well with him. Those who know him, he cannot hold still. He thanks God it is not worse and he should recover. He is on medication for Nerve Damage that makes him pretty tired so he takes naps longer than his kids[/FONT]

The crazy thing is that they have messed up his cobra insurance from his previous job so he is not able to make some Dr Appointments until its figured out. He is supposed to meet with a neurologist and rheumatologist for further review. So basically they have his money and he has no service and a bill from the Hospital for almost 200K for the time being.

[FONT=&quot]I came down to help him with a few things and he has decided to sell some of his stuff he doesnt need or is going to get rid of to make some extra cash since disability is going to take 4-6 weeks. I will be posting some of his stuff for sale later today; I just need to take the pictures.

Glad hes' making a recovery..sad he has to sell stuff to pay damned hospital bills.

Been following his updates on Facebook - definitely a messed up situation, but at least he has kept his spirit and humor about him!

"talked" to him this morning via text and FB. he's still up in spirit even though life has thrown him a NASTY curve ball.

buy his stuff. help him out. i'll be looking for things i don't need.

I talked to John a couple of times and he has maintained a positive attitude at least to me.It seemed like he didn't have the why me approach which is very understandable if he did feel like that but he doesn't.I will try to help out with what I can.This is tough deal but I think John will pull thru it with a strong recovery.
