  2. Should be almost a bolt on. I used an old Walker A radiator, fitted the shell to it. Hood fit fine. Need a different splash apron under the shell.

I used a Br***works radiator, stock 32 Grill shell and trimmed the stock splash apron. Fits like a glove.

I did one years ago and the grill shell hood fit great. Had trouble getting the correct shape to the headlight bar.

Here is mine with stock 31 hood, stock 32 grille. I modified my 31 radiator to work with the filler neck on the 32 grille, but other than that no modifications to anything.

fits the same. need to contour the headlight bar out and around the 32 shell though. also the splash apron is flat on a 31 and curved on a 32. i combined a 31 and 32 to make one.

Did you move the neck yourself, or pay a shop to do it? PIX?

Some of the Model A sheet metal providers have splash aprons for sale that are designed to work with a 32 Grill shell.

so I need to buy a brookville 'raw stee' 32 shell.
    insert
a rad for small block ford with drivers side lower, that is 25.5'' tall, rather than a stock height b radiator at 26.5''
    ???????????????????????????????????????

    p.s. fitting a central model b style hinge strip into a model a hood/bonnet.
does anywhere sell the hockey stick/ p shaped strips that slide along with an inch to weld in.
    plus the strip hinge itself?

this is what is foxing me..............

plus can you fit a 32 width dropped headlight bar, I know they are an inch shorter into a 31?
    will sit lower ?

I believe you need to purchase the dropped headlight bar that is specifically made for a Model A with 32 shell/grille.

Wouldnt it be easier to make the shell fit the radiator instead of messing around with moving the radiator neck?

I believe you only have to move the neck less than an inch forward or back. Way easier to use the stock location and cap off of the 32 shell, and just move the neck and solder it back. I don't know if moving the position of the opening in the grille for the cap will look right with the contour of the top of the grille.
