I'm planning on being there -- it will be my first time. Besides the two big guys and the cars in the yard, what will be going on (as if anything else needs to be going on)?

Larry Watson will be missed, but what a great gathering of legends. Wish I could be there.

 

Going to be a great time....lots of great stuff...cars, pin-stripers galore, entertainment. GENE!, and cool stuff from all over.....
I'm honored to have been asked by Gene to donate some of my photos to be auctioned for Gene's charities.
I got a letter from Gene at the beginning of summer and later a phone call from Gene about the auction.
When was the last time you got a letter in the mail from someone?

I've got to get something together that can make a fast road trip down 97. Too many hunters gone this year to get the time off though.

 

My band will be playing at this show. It should be a killer time!!!

 

Weather is still looking awesome... Plenty of parking. Don't miss this show, It gets better every year!!!

 

I was wondering if the weather would be good. Dale told me Roland & Don were going to stop by on the way to Bakersfield.

 

Yep Roland and Don ( The Snake ) did make it .

 

It was a good turnout as usual. Got to introduce my 22 year old kid to the legends and let him get a look at some of the rides to see if he gets any ideas for his 47 Plymouth P-15. He was pretty stoked and came back to the shop and did some work on it. Great to see the old faces and some new ones as well.

 

Yup...a good time had by all.....

You know we are all so very fortunate to have guys like "Windy" still around to show the younger set his craft !!I think it is great that he is able to take the knowledge around the country. Bless you Gene !!

 

Did anyone get a pic of Gene's "Wild rod" he's building? He was telling my about it earlier this summer. It really sounds like it is going to live up to its name.

Your coverage of the event and this one illustrates clearly what only those being there witnessed: Gene....Winfield...throws...nothing...away!!
