The crew @ SEMA gets props for getting Congress to actually do something & they called today the annual Collector Car Appreciation Day (13July2012). This is the 3rd year in a row they've done it. We'll be out in Ann Arbor for the Rolling Sculptures Show. The weather is nice, so it's time to play hookey from work & get out there... Seeya.
The Fresno and Clovis Ca, area is having a unofficial cruise on Friday @ 6:30 PM. Meet at Shaw and Clovis Ave, Oriely's Auto Parts. No cost just car people hanging out. The temperature is supposed to be 105 degrees. Pretty hot for the roadster drivers!
Ithink we 5 different shows intown the next couple of days celebrating this.Went to one they had here last year and even with heat they had a bunch show up.I'm gonna try and hit 2 of the morning shows close to me tomorrow.
I drove the '57 Pontiac Safari wagon in to work today- Sloppy steering, weak brakes and 12 mpg never felt so good! We haul our kids everywhere in that car on weekends and they really love it. They usually get jealous stares from other kids passing us in luxury SUV's on the freeway, and plenty of thumbs up as well.
