Wow! Thanks for the link. I was there. The first drag race I'd ever seen. I'll never forget it.

 

I can't thank you enough for posting this video. We have toured with the S&S Race Team for the last 8 or 9 years and have heard many stories about Pork and Gene winning Indy in 1963 but have never seen the runs. That was fantastic. I will be sending it to them.

I thought of you all right away when I saw this video. I took for granted that surely you had seen the footage. It's the best I've seen of the early stuff because of the sound, interviews etc. Strange to watch the Anglia from Louisville knowing it's later fate. The Teter Vicky was another that jumped out after following the O'herren build.

 

Pork had and Gene has a liscense plate that reads I1indy63. It's pretty cool being able to have that on your plate.
