What do you guys think ? It's coming along pretty good. It had been sitting for the better part of 20 years when my dad got it a couple months ago. It now has a rear-steer Nova clip under it, a positrac Trans-Am rear end, and a late-model small block Chevy with a 700R4 set back 14 1/2". Not shown in the pics, but a '53 Mercury front bumper is going on it. I'm obviously not done with the striping either, but it's coming along nicely also. ;)

Here's a few more pics. Are those hoods bodacious, or what ?!

The column is out of the same Trans-Am that donated the rear end.

The floors were non-existent, so we are still in the process of getting that done. The panel for the p***enger side is made, just need to weld it in.

Here's one set of wheels he has for it.....American Salt Flats.....should look nice contrasted against all that ****ed up paint/rust. :D

No, this truck had been sitting in a guy's backyard for 20+ years when we got it. However, I saw that truck at Decatur.....they were asking like $4K for it.

I had one of those given to me back in the 80s and never went after it. I love them too. I talked to the guy ar Decatur. He was in a Hudson club I think. They had left early though. I think an all hudson one with a twin H engine with some Smokey Yunick tricks done to it would bet the nuts.
Anyway nice to see one getting rodded. kind of a 47 Hudmaro ot Camudson it sounds like.

Lookin good, Keep us posted on the finish up. I'll be finishing up my 46' in the next few weeks just in time for the SoCal HAMB BBQ. I'll post on it soon.
What's your dad doing for a fuel tank?

Will do, on the keepin' posted. We're using an S-10 tank, that'll fit right between the Ford pickup rear leaf springs. ;) It's got like, 1-2" of clearance on each side. It's narrow, but deep, and I think around 18 gallons. I'll probably do some more striping to it Sat/Sun, and try to get the rest of the floor in too. We raised the floor up about 2" so it would be flat, and straight across. Ended up filling about 30 holes in the firewall as well.
