Well, Picked up the car about 6 weeks ago. Great shape. No rust at all, no bondo! Interior cleaned up really well and is in great shape with the exception of the front seat, needs reupholstered. Put her on a trailer to get her home. Car runs and drives but had a bad front end shake and brakes were pretty well shot. Just rebuilt front end...New control arm bushings, welded control arms, rebuilt brakes, new shocks, stabilizer bushings, tie rod ends and adjustment sleeves, brake lines.....cut springs and now have the stance I wanted. Next is blocking the rear end then work on motor. This is my first old car so i am learning a lot as I go.
I wish you all the best. I sold a 54 Capri over a decade ago and STILL miss it every day. Good luck with your new ride, they are GREAT cars. Tim the Toolman
To successfully upload pics to the HAMB they have to conform size-wise in 3 different dimensions, Height, Width and File size. Here's a pic of the max dimensions and file size the HAMB will accept, note the different file types/Extensions allowed (left side of pic). For pics, the accepted extensions (file types) are - .bmp .gif .jpe .jpg .jpeg .png(not shown) To the right of each file type listed is the max File size and further right is the allowed width and height. All picture types are allowed up to 800 wide by 600 high. .....Make sure your pic is no larger in any dimension (including size/kb) or the HAMB will reject them. Conversely, you can easily open up a free Photobucket account and upload all your pics into albums (that you create) and then post them on any forum in sizes much larger than the the host forum allows. One very handy thing about Photobucket is that it will automatically take your EXTREMELY BIG pics and automatically re-size them as they upload. The max size that 'bucket will return to you (based on their free account) is 1024 width. Here's what a large image looks like on this forum, notice that it forces the right side of the screen to extend beyond the normal forums width. ..... Luckily, 'bucket has an option that allows you to re-size down to 800 width: To sum it all up, you can see why the HAMB has a size restriction, It keeps images from overriding regular forum and screen widths.. Over and above all that, The benefits of having a free bucket account are many, from auto resizing to being able to -easily- post and re post pics to multiple forums or emails. It also takes a great deal of the strain off of Ryan and the HAMB by keeping the 'heavy weight' of large images off their server which in turn keeps the HAMB flowing at a much faster/smoother pace for all members. http://photobucket.com/ Although photobucket is free, I have opted for the $20/year membership which allows me to post unlimited file width/size pics as well as post unlimited amounts of pics using unlimited amounts of bandwidth. -At times my 'bucket account has served up more than 5 or 6 million pictures to various forums - in any one 30 day period. Hope this has helped and hope to see your pics soon.. .
