I have a 1953 chevy with a straight 6 and 3 speed manual trans. Was thinking of putting a sbc in it, Will the bellhousing fit the sbc or what will I have to change.

You'll have to change all the drivetrain.

i think you also need to cut the body mounts that go from the firewall to the frame... it's a torque tube so you need new rear end and driveshaft also. if i remember right s-10 rear will fit.

You'll probably also need a new transmission crossmember, and watch that header to steering clearance. S10 4x4 rears fit. Early Camaro, G2 Camaro, Tri Five rear ends fit well too. You'll probably need to figure out something to do with the rear springs.

Oh- and read the forum rules, eh? Before someone gets all hairy on ya.
