So you cut the back window right out of the car? when i did mine i removed just the corners and let the window come up where it want to without cutting across the roof all the way.. then I just reworked the corners.

kinda,, more like the whole hack of the roof and trunk hinges,,, sorry,,,just like b***,,,,, and to be more clear im workin with a 4 door i dont have a rear 1/4 gl*** to move into,,(got another door to worrie about),,,so my aka "c" pilar can only move to the back of the 2nd door...thus having to slightly correct the "a"pilar and the "b" also...4 doors are alot harder!!!! but i think i nailed it!!;-)

  14. if i'm not mistaken there is a write up of a chop masterson did on a 4 door fleet in an old edition of TRK. someone on here will chime in on the issue #. he does it in Hines fashion which is the way to do it if yer gonna do it.

there' also a thread on here with a winfield chop on a 2 door with LOTS of pics.

    finnished chopped.jpg

finnished product...just a lil touch up here and there...but i love the flow ...not too much or too lil.... gonna be a cl***y 4 door...

  17. i generally prefer my fleetlines unchopped, but i must say i dig the proportions on this one. i think its because its a four door and the windows give it a look of length or something.

anyhow.... looking forward to seeing it in paint.

thanks so much guys,,,,, i got a lot of flac for doing a four door fleet like my merc,, but i love 4doors,,,and bohuff showed they can be cool too....( first chopped 4door merc i ever saw in person)....and the flow/lines looked better when chopped for some reason to me,,, friends wanted me to go lower on the chop say'n (your gonna do all that work for 3.75-4 in.,,, no one is gonna notice) my reply (real rodders will,,,the rest can wonder what kinda car this is,,,lol... i feel this is what chevy was going for , before some executive changed it....still looks factory but cooler;-)...more detailed build pics to come....and solutions to lil problems i encountered

I love the proportions of your car. It really flows well. I was really looking for a 4 door car when I bought my '51 Fleet, but it is a 2 door so that is what I am working with. Nice job on the chop and I think you nailed it on how much you took out.
