Hello all. I'm new to the HAMB as I have not had an old car/truck in some time (I have had in the past a 46 plymouth, 60 Buick coupe, 65 Rambler, etc) But have been focused on motorcycles as of late. I managed to pick up a 1952 Dodge Pilothouse 1 ton dually flatbed. It fact has been seen here before by the previous owner Jason sometime ago. and as soon has I can figure out how to post picts you'll get to see it. It is very original and in rather good shape, with many things done already (brakes, seat, carpeting) and has a chev 327 mated to the Original "Truck O -matic" trans with overdrive..lord is it slow..a full 60 on the freeway. I have been enjoying mucking with it and have been buffing the body and repainting the wheels, bumpers, frame and engine bay (thank you eastwood paints) I have to replace the water pump next week and perform a basic service on it and bleed the all the juice systems. I'm also going to replace the wood on the deck and build up a stakebed also soon..its all so simple, its a joy to fix with (so far) little cash output. I plan to put it in easy part-time use as a work truck after she's ready to go. Love to share input with all of you. cheers samuel
I do too, its green with shades of light green, rust and primer! I'm just going to polish up and leave all the colours..!
Just beginning to to clean up the Firewall and engine bay. The air filter housing is stock over the Chev carb, with a K&N inside..a nice touch!
