Hi guys, don't think i have introduced myself... I'm Jan from Belgium, 36 years, married , 3 kids and i owe a merc'49 4dr I bought in NY last year. We plan to upgrade with a10 viper, so not only because of those changes it will be a frame off. Other oys are RAM SRT and HD V rod. The HAMB is simply said THE reference a information libary and i hope i enjoy my stay. If you need belgian beer or chocolates, you know where to find me now ;-)
Some picts: The frame is being upgraded vor the 10 and repaired where needed. I was planning to use a 4 link set up c/w QA1 coilover shocks but someone recommended gl*** fiber leafs. Anyone experiance with those single leaf suspension? Oh yes, the rear axle is from a SRT RAM, shaft will be custom made.

just got my hands on some original 11 desoto's ! You never gonna gues how much i paid for them... including floor pan...
Guys some help please on some easy questions: How do you operate/open the trunk when it is shaved? Cable? remote? As you can see on the pics in post 7, the rear door has no vent gl*** anymore. One piece gl*** is not possible because it runs behind the lower part of the door. Ho can i fix this? What is easier, installing a vertical split again or modify the sheet metal so the gl*** part get smaller and fits the door? (anyone pics of a chopped 4dr '49?)
Last one: is the workshop somewhere available? It seems my front fenders are welde by the previous owner. Need to bring t ack to original for painting..
