tail lights

    i have 51 chevy truck and im wiring in a stat 900 7 wire turn signal switch with a rebel 9+3 harness and i almost have it done. turn signals work brake lights work but when you press the brakes the rear lights only show brake lights and not turn signal on one side and a brake light on the other, so help would be appreciated

    Hard to trouble shoot via the web, but most lighting issues involve bad or poor grounds. Try grounding the non working taillight bucket directly to the battery negative and start working from there. You might find both sides have issues.

    I have the same set up as you and just like apache said, make sure your taillights are grounded to the body. For some reason my drivers side rear light wast grounded well enough and I had similar problems. I ran a wire from the tail light mounting bolts and zipped it into the trunk floor and then everything worked properly. Then I had to make the wire permanent and hid it the best I could.     does anyone have a diagram for a 7 wire switch and a rebel 9+3 wiring harness my original isnt written to well i can put the turn signals on left or right they both work but when i mash the brakes neither turn signal works its like the brake lights cancel the turn signals out . release the brakes and the turn signals work again
