Been making progress on the car, got engine/trans installed set engine back as far as possible, had to redo footwell areas so headers would fit, cut the BB chevy header flanges off and welded the BB ford flanges on and they came out nice. Going to start on the rear end install soon. I'm taking the 9 inch out of my 59 galaxie ( 460 c-6 runs 13:60 in 1/4 ) it has 31 spline-nodular-3:70 gears all brand new so that will save me a thousand or so in cost and I think the gear is perfect for the 557, its high enough so it will let the torque of the engine pull it out of the hole just fine.

Here are some shots I took today of Advance 1 getting the rear end ready to go. He'll have to tell you all that is or was done to the rear end.

I havent checked this in a while nice progress, I think these 52-54 Fords look best as a gasser style car.

We hope to be getting back on the car this week.

Advance 1 is still under the weather and has been fighting it for going on a year now. It will be on the back burner until spring I think.
When he can get back to working on it I'll keep the pictures coming.
    Thanks for your patients guys.

Best wishes for his recovery, hopefully the build will help get him back on his feet.

I had to go watch the Adam 12 episode on YouTube. Here are the links:

    Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVwEqlp_VdE

Man, I used to watch that show and I don't remember it being that cheesy. I forgot about the bad acting and predictable outcomes. Was that Dick Clark as the drag strip owner?

Thanks for posting those episodes, cheezy or not. Kinda makes me miss those days, but the racing, not the tv show. lol As for your signature, I must be there too! :D

I'm going to say it was an FE judging by the valve covers. With a pair of center squirters, maybe? Take a look.
The other pics are just for grins.
As far as the signature goes, Eli, I just realized I was doing it last summer, don't know when it started.
