I am debating on how to run my heater core lines through the firewall. Russell makes fittings, but I was hopin to find simple 5/8s barbed fitting on either side, with a fixed nut, and threads. SO I can drill a hole, stick the fitting through the hole in the firewall, the tighten a nut, then I would have a barbed end inside and outside. Problem is, I cant find this fitting.. ANyone have an idea where they are sold? or pics of how they ran theres? I have tried local stores, Speedway motors.
get a 5/8 hose barb with male female threads. then get the proper size conduit lock nut from the electrical aisle. Drill your hole put male end trough. secure with conduit lock nut then thread on female fitting. connect hoses and your done

Thanks, I went to a couple local parts stores, and they ask the same question.... What year is the car? what engine? Does it have Air? The better ones werent open today. Thanks for the replies
Ya no **** !! I went in to Federated, which used to be great, and no go. I did go to Oreillys, and No go either. NAPA and Carquest werent open today. My buddy Phil, who is a car guy and has a loyal following because of his knowlwdge, was let go by Orreillys, I heard he was carrying. SInce he is gone I dont go there much anymore. He has rebuilt just about everything, and a fountain of knowledge in old cars
I made this for my T coupe out of some 1/8 br*** I had from an old elevator sign... my plan was to get a couple pieces copper tubing and put some dog knots on each side and solder it in the hole, then have it chromed.
Big truck shops have them in the "no barb" style as well as out little store, we keep a 3/8 npt inside (WH #1346) and 1/2 npt inside (WH #1351) in stock, should be available at any NAPA store.
Went to a few more parts stores, Carquest, Kent NAPA, ect.... Most have ladies behind the counter, and I even went as far as drawing it on a paper. No one has them.... LoL Nice hu? I may call you old guard I am hopin to find 5/8 barbed on both sides.
