I just discovered that the Surplus Center (www.surpluscenter.com) has a flock of 2" Autometer gauges, most of them are priced at $10-12. Even if you don't need gauges, this can be an interesting site to look around.
I just searched their site and couldn't find the Autometer gauges. Found several other brands and the Autometer gauge holders, but no gauges. Are they listed under a special heading or name? Thanks.
Weird. Well I found them in their latest catalog-Summer 2005. If you'd like,I can fax you, or anyone, the page-or look up a specific gauge or gauges you're interested in and PM you.
Hey,try this link: http://www.surpluscenter.com/sort.asp?UID=2005082411513687&catname=&byKeyword=yes&search=Autometer
Even though they have autometer industrial on them? I get this catalog too and was wondering about them.
Autometer does not build an industrial series gauge. If you read closely, the text reads AMI,not Autometer.Only the brackets listed are clled Autometer, and I am quite certain those are not Autometer either.I sent this link to an Autometer rep, hope to hear back on this today. They have had a handfull of copycats lately.
Thats interesting, I bought some bargain gauges from JC Whintey 5 or so years ago and got autometer gauges in a plain white box with part# only. I just figured they were "seconds" or something...
Curious. I looked at Autometer's webwite-some of their gauges say Autometer on them, some don't. I didn't see any that said "AMI" but I didn't look at them all, either. Sorry, I didn't mean to lead anyone astray. Still a good price for gauges.
