Ok folks im gettting ready to start a new project here in the next few months, it is a 27 T roadster like the one pictured below..... body no biggie, suspension no biggie, grille shell no biggie, hood & hood sides no biggie...... but where i am stumped is, i need some ideas of how to fabricate the area below the body..... it that the outside of the frame rails or is it an apron ?????? im planning on fabricating the frame myself but cant quite tell if it is the outer rails or what that piece is ????? anyone here built something like this and may have some pics of what they did ??
Good taste, my man. That is a Pete Chapouris build for his dad. SIROD2 are the plates. http://www.streetrodderweb.com/features/0403sr_ford_track_t_hotrod/viewall.html I am planning to build something similar myself. Just saving for the body now...
yeah been eyeing Pete's car for many years but this was the only pic i had in the PC of the style of roadster i want to build..... Have several on my phone that need to be moved over to the PC for safe keeping
looks like a rolled pan along the side. I have a 27 that sits on 32 rails and the sides look a lot like the one in the pic, but it's obvious to the casual observer that they are frame rails.
That one has a belly pan. It wraps from the bottom of the body on one side to the bottom of the body on the other side.
