  5. Can we edit the title of this thread to say that it is "HotTurkey's 32 Ford"?

I think some people may assume this is a car they are not familiar with and not click on this thread.

    Just a suggestion...

Very Sorry to hear this, eyes and ears open in Daytona and Ormond Beach.

The Dreamcruise is coming this weekend, will be there, too.

    Hope it is recovered soon.

Anybody stick this on Craigslist yet? Everybody and their brother reads that. I hope you get it back, man...this really makes me sick.
In my opinion, thieves are sub-human and should be treated as such.

Its easier to have the insurance pay for a purchased car but when you put your own blood, sweat and self into a build, the car becomes an extension and part of yourself. Hope you find it brother.

Man this stinks! This is becoming way too common. We have seen happy endings to some of these threads and lets hope this will be another one as well. I HAVE NO USE FOR A THIEF!!

Practical jokes, or pranks are typically lighthearted,
    This is neither.

  20. I do not know if someone may of mentioned this but has anyone alerted the port of entry Miami or elsewhere when containers get loaded for other countries. They are to ask for the vehicle ID and registrations. The fact that you live in Florida who ever stole this car could fake a registration and put it in a container and to be shipped anywhere in the world just worth checking into this.

Noooo, I love this car and I've been watching the build thread till I got to the end today, it feels like a gut punch to me and I don't even want to know what Dave and his family are feeling! With that said, you have 6 sets of eyes on I75 everyday looking for it, I hope you get her back safe and sound!..Brian

Dave, I'm sure you are doing everything you can to help find your own car, because you can't depend on the police to do it all by themselves. They are busy with other crimes, some more serious than a car theft, so it is up to us to become proactive and beat the bushes ourselves.

Years ago some lowlifes broke into my Sons car one night and stripped about $5,000 worth of stereo equipment out of it. The cops were basically saying they had murders to deal with and they were not doing a whole lot to find the guys. So I started my own detective work. I tracked down where they had pawned a unique flute that was taken from his car, and that led me to their home. But they had already moved to Cookesville, Tn. I contacted the Sheriff there and he sent men to check out their new address and confirmed they were there. He said it I got a warrant he would arrest them, but our local DA couldn't be bothered, even though I handed over a file with all the documentation.

The point of all that is that law enforcement and the prosecutors are probably viewing your loss as just another Honda that disappeared. They do not understand the attachment and loss we feel. Talk to as many people as you can and keep the heat on the cops. Some of the cars that have been recovered on the HAMB are because the owner and his family kept watching Craigslist and Ebay and found the car being parted out.

Do not give up and keep the pressure on these lousy thieves.

    Don

Just for giggles, what was the name of your local DA ? -- and if it's googled in the future, his name would be like that of Samuel Mudd.

A lot of unique parts on this car, we know them from the build.
Everybody keep your eyes out for them at swap-meets, etc.
