damn you Ryan!!! now I have to go back up there!! it takes 7 or so hours but way worth it for the conversation and the cold stella.
heaven on earth, that place, can I get an amen? It is the most organized chaos I have ever seen. Everywhere you look. Viva Tardel !!!
Thanks for posting that Ryan. There is a nice article in Ol Skool about Vern. That is the at***ude we should all shoot for.
thanks for the vid boss. hope alls well with the shoulder.god i wish i had the bucks to have vern turn my flathead into a great runner!
Even more here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlohdKs_5YA&feature=channel&list=UL Same author and it looks like it was filmed about the same time.
Man, what a great guy he seems to be. That's the kind of role models we need right there...he really gets it. Thanks for posting that.
My wife's Uncle lives in Santa Rosa and is fairly close with Vern. Uncle Jack has repeatedly offered to put us up for a week or two and one of the things he always tells me is that if we come out, that he'll call up Vern and we can go visit with him. One of these days soon, I need to get my *** out there.
Thanks for letting me "meet" Vern Tardel. It must be tough never having to grow UP! I'm very envious, Cat
Thanks for posting that Ryan!!! I always like to see what spills out of your head into this website. The p***ion for this stuff is addicting!!!
Awesome vid! Vern's spread is about 10 miles up the road from me. I've driven by several times but never stopped in. What I really wanna see is what kind of treasures are sitting on his acreage!
What a rare treat, thanx for sharing this amazing person with us. The place is just magical with all its charm. I could almost smell the shop viewing the clip. A heartfelt thanks bro, I ate it up when you were up there doing your mill and sharing that experience, but this is the 'coupe de grace'. ~sololobo~
