OK you guys quit fighting about room rates you all got more $$ than ...The entry fee this year was lowered to only $10 per person and I guarantee if you don't have a good time I want to hear why. Glad to hear that plenty of HAMBers are coming down to the show. Got some great stuff to give away with the 50/50 raffle. For 5 hours beginning at 10 o'clock we will drawn a number from the 50/50 sold tickets and give away each hour 1 new portable Campbell Hausfeld 2 gal. 110 max psi air compressor w/attachments (5 total). I've also gathered some really cool framed art for the Auction and at 1:00 there will be a Panel Jam inside a cl***room in the Armory with 6 Pinstripers going at it 2 minutes at a time. If you haven't seen a real pinstriper's Panel Jam it's really a cool show. All six completed panels will be auctioned off. Again, we have some really cool t-shirts, embroidered hats and limited amounts of L & XL sweat shirts for sale along with great screen printed Jalopyrama pre-show posters and special B&W posters done by Paul Rhoades. So, read the intro of the program booklet when you arrive for all the details. It's going to be a great day once again for the Jalopyrama Hot Rod Show!
The best show goin'. Mike works his **** off to make this happen. The indoor show brings back lots of memories of the way things were. Tons of Kool cars, good food, and great event and auction stuff to buy. The spectator parking may be tight, but still well worth the h***el or walk. I'll be there all day !
I hope I didn't sound like I was trying to argue over the room rates. Just wanted to let people know what was out there. Originally I couldn't find a room for less than 175, which I really couldn't afford, and would have kept me at home. Anyways, I'm psyched for this show and I do appreciate the low admission fee too. I've never been to a traditional show this big before. All the shows around here tend to be muscle cars and street rods, so I'm looking forward to seeing some great cars and having a good time. Maybe I'll even get to meet some other HAMBers!
Thanks for the update, Mike. As of now the weather is looking good, partly cloudy, high around 70. Hope that holds up for the show...........................Don.
Don, I put my request in for upper 60s/low 70s and maybe a few clouds. Dad is taking care of it The chance of rain isn't suppose to come in till late Saturday night or Sunday. See everyone on Saturday. Mike
I guess the Maryland HAMB'ers will have the banner and a gathering on the front steps of the Armory sometime in the afternoon?
Hello Mike We are suppose to bring vicky g***er friday, but didnt get email on what time to put it in. You can email me ssaahemi@aol.com thanks Bucky Hess
Most of this rag-tag group should be there. I'm posting the Maryland HAMBers photo, in case you want to meet some of them or you need to know who to hide from.
How far is the walk from the sheraton to the armory? And is there a shuttle or anything really dont want to drag my trailer back and forth if I dont have to. Yes I know, I know I should be driving the car down but my little lady is 8+ months pregnant and as kool as she is 4hrs in a roadster prob isnt the best idea and weathers calling for showers sunday on the way home.
The walk from the shearton to the armory is not far, but the sidewalks tend to just end, and crossing the few streets is not that easy, from my experience. They had a shuttle available going, but I didnt see it for the return. Call me when you are there and we will figure something out. We will be there Friday around noon. Slim
I trailered 2010 (because car was to be inside) took the shuttle on Sat morning and then drove the hot rod from the armory to the hotel & loaded up there after the show.
Guys, I was told a few years ago if you take the hotel phone number with you to call the hotel for the shuttle to pick you up. I'd think this would still be the case. Check at the desk of the hotel when you get there. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the set-up Friday afternoon. J'Mike
So if I'm just spectating on saturday, what time should i try to get to the show? I'd like to get there early enough to find a parking spot without too much difficulty.
