Gone is the original Independent front suspension! Gone is the Stock Rear Axle. Transmission is an A-833 Mopar 3 speed manual with overdrive. Rearend is Ford 9 inch. More to follow, Jim

Sweet! everything looks at home except that 9" wish you would have gone with a 8-3/4 Better rear than a 9 in everyway and would have made it all mopowered, just my 2 cents looks *****en though. jealous of the Hemi.:D

Great job on the 34 plym. My father & I are building a 33 dodge coiupe as well. We have a 57 fury eng in her w/a mopar 4sp (the overdrive one) & a 8 3/4 rr. The drive train is done & ready to go. The brakes are done & bled. I`m tying to find time to finish some body & paint work so it can be on the rd this summer. Can`t wait to see my dad with a smile from ear to ear going down the road. This is his dream hotrod car from when he was a teenager.

Hey uglyoldcrow, nice to see another 34 PE being worked on. I'm working on one also. Similar story also. Relative of mine had it collecting dust and mouse turds in his garage since the sixties. I finally asked him when he was gonna let me start building a rod with it. We started in 08. The budget for this project is "minimal" so , for example, instead of a nice IFS kit from Fatman, etc. , I just welded in a clip from a 91 S-10. IMHO this is the way to go to modernize ( ball joints, disk brakes and modern geometry). I'll try to get some pics of the clip/frame junction on here (I'm a newb and not up to speed on how that happens...I'll get my kid to help). That clip is MADE for these cars! You cut the Plymouth right behind where it "Y's" , cut the S-10 clip the same distance back from the hub centerline (about 11 1/2" ) and burn em together. You may not want to mix brands but if you don't care this is a great way to improve on that stock "One year only" IFS.

Modern? A '91 S-10 is 22 years old now! The 1934 Plymouth used a SLA (or short-long arm suspension that kept perfect camber. Modern (today's) Mustang racers rip out their stock suspension for an SLA set-up. http://www.shop.agentfortyseven.com/product.sc?productId=34&categoryId=10
