Just wondering if anyone could ID this motor? Its in a 52' Ranch Wagon, wish I had more pics but the car is at my grandmothers house which is a few hours away. All information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

More than likely, since it is in a 1952 car that would be a 1952 motor. The hose locations are correct for 49-53, so that is my guess. Here are some specs:

    Don

    <TABLE border=2 cellPadding=2 width=998><TBODY><TR><TD width="15%">1952 Ford</TD><TD width="14%" align=center>239</TD><TD width="18%" align=center>3.1875 x 3.750</TD><TD width="17%" align=center>194 @ 19-2100</TD><TD width="15%" align=center>110/106</TD><TD width="14%" align=center>7.2/6.8:1</TD><TD width="10%" align=center>24</TD><TD width="16%">2,5</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

It would be a 239 cubic inch, 110 hp, 7.2 compression motor (lower numbers are for truck engines) and it should have a Holley 2 barrel on it.

I believe it has an overdrive trans.

Looks like the 110hp "Stratofire" V-8 (8BA) we had in my family' '52 Country Sedan.

The rusted remains of orange paint suggest that it might well be original to the car.
For rodding purposes, the minor differences between the various '49-53 engines do not matter much.

If it's as original as it looks, an EAB. As I said, as raw material for a build the exact age of a late engine matters little.
The original heads would be cast with EAB designation, carb was I think ECU (?), block would differ mostly in minor valve changes, lack of hard seats, and crankshaft compatible with the optional auto trans from earlier late blocks.
