The 3rd car on post #5 is my father's, built for my mother, painted by me. It was the maiden voyage after a major thrash to get it done. The only thing not done on the whole car by my father or myself was bending the exhaust.

BTW...the roadster on the flatbed was priced at 90K this year.

Why? How could that car possibly be worth that kind of money? Historical car or something?

That was my question. There was some nice work (fat fendered plymouth dash cut down) and some good parts, but I just couldn't see it worth that kind of money.

I saw this car a few years ago at a Charlotte Goodguys. There where quite a bunch of subtle changes made on it that you would not really notice unless you either were a 55 fan or had an original one nearby to see the differences. Really nice car.

Same here, it's been too long. Hope you had a safe drive home as we did.

This morning I saw a car with '2003' for a registration number.

We left about 1:00 PM and although it was cloudy and the wind was a little stronger than yesterday the weather was nice,,it was even starting to warm up some when we left.

About 40 miles from home we ran into some rain. HRP

We left just before 10:00 AM. Didn't hit any rain until about 50 miles from home, then it rained pretty hard.

No rain at all at the event over the weekend and that's what matters. :D

A big shout out to GoodGuys for a beautiful setting for a car show. These guys are often dissed for big wheels and street rods, but they put on very well orginized and bountiful shows. Thanx for another super show here. Awesome selection of rides, a great vibe looking at the maroon Ford ragtop as he and his lady cruz the grounds enjoying the eye candy, beautiful. ~sololobo~

The haters overlook the positive and focus on the narrow.

I was a vendor (the only one) at Gary's first show (Redding '84). He was then and is now, an actual a good guy who is a hard core hot rodder.

I would've been there all day. The crowd never broke around that rig.

That rig belongs to Dennis Frings of Concord. He had his black 32 highboy there Friday (the one with the Edelbrock-headed flattie and Halibrands near the Autocross).

Dennis was one of the first fabricators to build road-course-only ch***is for the NASCAR boys back in the day. I think he worked for ol' DW in the Western Auto days. Needless to say he is a master fabricator that puts out flawless work, as you saw in both the COE and the roadster out back!
