Wow. I would like to thank Ryan for this site and thank everyone who has helped me in finishing my "T" bucket. It's not a show car but this old graybeard is having more fun than a lot of Seniors who are sitting home playing Bridge. I love hot rods! Butch
Yes I have some nice pics (just got the upholstery) . I downloaded them to my computer But can't send them to the site.??
Congrats, Butch. Looking forward to seeing your T bucket. I think the best way to post pics on any forum is to open a free account on Photobucket <<< see, it even has the word "bucket" in it. Then upload the pics from your computer to your Photobucket account; then you copy the "image code" from under any pic into any post you make and the photo will be there.
I agree with 333. This thread needs pictures of you smiling through your gray beard in your T-bucket.
O.K. I have the photobucket acct. and I have the pics in my computer under " my pictures" kind of lost from there,
Is there a green icon at the top of your photobucket page that says "Upload"? If yes, click that; the next window that opens should have an icon that says "select photos and videos"; if you click that, a window will open where you'll have to find the "my pictures" folder on your computer; then choose a picture by clicking on it and that should upload it to your photobucket account. If the above isn't what you see, try describing what you're seeing. Or look for a help page at Photobucket that will walk you through it.
kinda funner then buildin the car....or not!!! Technology is great, for other people!!! Don't worry, we are patient people....now please get them damn pics up!!! Just kiddin, someone will come along and help you figure out how to post them.
With a lot of help I'm getting there. Steve says I'm 80% whatever that means. Oh I do know how to rebuild a banjo rear. LOL
Well I never rebuilt a banjo rear ...so we're even? Is that scan0003(1) photo in "library" on your computer or did you already figure out how to "upload" it to your photobucket account? If it's in your photobucket, then you should see something like this under the photo when you put your cursor over the photo: Then if you put the cursor over the "IMG code" and click on it or "copy" it, you can then "paste" that IMG code into any post on any forum and that photo will show up. If you got that far, try it. If not, we can keep at it until you figure it out. I'll add that once you see how it's done, you'll see how simple it is and you'll easily grasp it forever. It's a hell of a lot easier than rebuilding a banjo rear. By the way, I don't mind trying to work through this with you here, after all, it is your thread. But if you'd rather PM me and do it in private messages I'm OK with that, too.
I've got everything right up to selecting a photo in my library but all I get is a bigger pic of the car and NO -img number??
When I get a bigger pic of one of mine (after clicking on it and it opens the bigger version of it) there is a small box in the upper right corner called "Links" and the bottom one there is the IMG code. Do you see that on the page you're on? Too bad you're not closer to eastern PA since I'd just come over and show you this and you'd pick it up in a couple minutes. If we can just break through to where and how to get this IMG code for any pic you upload to your Photobucket account, you'd be all set. butch, this might be better than me trying to explain since this has pics of what's actually happening. Watch this youtube of how to do this on Photobucket and see if it helps. Then report back. Thanks. Here's the youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xRXezQkV4w
Can't get the IMG code --I'ts not showing up under my picture. AND I get a BIG ad for " toys r us" DARN
Butch, do not click on the little picture in your Photobucket, just put the cursor over top of it (hover there but do no click) and a dropdown will come up below that. Move the cursor down to IMG CODE and CLICK on that. It will change to say "copied". Then simply come on here and click "paste" in your post and when you submit the picture will show up. Takes us older guys a while to get the hang of this stuff. Don
I'm leaving work now but when I get home later tonight I'll try to convey the instructions another way so hopefully you can get this. After all, this is not hot rod surgery.
