Does anyone know if a 1964 Chevrolet Impala steering wheel will fit nicely on a 1960-66 Chevrolet c-10 pickup without a big gap? Looking to help a friend out Thanks everyone...

I think it will. But if it don't are you just don't like it. It'll be easy to change.

  4. I'm pretty sure the spline's the same , Gap , I'm not too sure about gap ,,, I've made collars out of large exhaust pipe , Go to a muffler shop , and they can expand , or else , bell flange it for a different flow to the column ,they will probably want to sell ya' a foot or more , Just cut it where you need ,then weld a couple tabs internally to fix it to the wheel , or the column, I wish I had pics , I gotta start takin' pics of my work , but, I'm already too busy ,(according to the missuz) , Thanx Joe

They are all pretty much the same spline wise. The only things that really changed were the turn signal cams on the back of the wheels, they earlier ones were attached to the back of the wheel and the later ones were attached to the column, but its only a matter of a couple screws. Other than that, pretty much any Chevy/Pontiac (olds/buick/cad are different) will interchange with little or no modification.

I had a '59 car wheel on a '66 truck and it swapped over real nicely, I gotta think the '64 wheel would work just as well.

my brother just installed a SS Impala steering wheel onto his 64 C-10. Looks real good and remember, one of the great things about Chevrolet is their interchangeability of parts.
