Glad you guys Id'd the car! It was such a bitchin find for me! I'm glad that it went to someone that would understand and enjoy what it was. Too many other irons in the fire but I have kinda wished I would have kept it because AWB cars are near and dear to me. Oh boy was it in a rough area when I found it......I didnt go alone when I went back to buy it :)

Ok, it's been some time since an update on the TIGER II / BLITZER. I bought the car back several months ago from John, the guy that I sold it to after finding it in Alabama and bringing it back out. We are well on our way restoring it back to run exhibition. I still haven't decided on if it will return as the TIGER II or BLITZER. It sits pretty much as it was run as the BLITZER in 1967 so I am leaning that direction. With a injection nitro 427. It however was also run late 1966 as the TIGER II with a fuel burning 427 and the center steer T BAR chassis. I have never seen pictures with this combo, only advertisement posters. I would be VERY temped to put it together like this. Incidentally, it was also ran one time with a blown fuel 427 as the BLITZER in late 67. NHRA said no and the motor was pulled. Any old way......pictures are needed! Specifically with the TIGER II/427 combo but I'll take any
