Usually its all about the bitches, but I wonder why you see so few compliments when a magazine entertains you? I happened by Tower Records yesterday to get the new Brian Setzer disc (AWESOME by the way) and grabbed the latest (and last) issue of DICE hiding on the rack. I've bought them all since the beginning and maybe it's the pocket size or the unexpected cars and brilliant graphic layout, but I love this magazine for not feeding me the same lifestyle garbage a couple other rags can't get away from. Some of the inside lingo is over my head, but stuff like the Napoleon Dynamite quotes in the one bike feature are brilliant. I only wish some of the bike stories had a tech box since I want to learn more about the bikes and don't know what year some of the parts are, but the choice of bikes, photography and layouts are simply the best out there. So, props to the DICE crew for keeping it punk rock! Congrats also to KIRK! Both "My Little Pony" and your hair looked AMAZING! Which one was more difficult?
I may be a little biased...but for my money, there's no better bike magazine out there right now. Cheers to Dean.
Great thread, the mag is awesome with really nice pics and the coolest bikes. But as JimA said I also kinda miss some tech boxes so I can learn what parts these bikes are built with.
I've been slingin' Dice mag around down here since issue one. Matt and Dean do a really cool little mag. Great colour. Great visuals. The series of 4 artist covers at the moment are really refreshing. It's got a devoted, if small, little following here. I would also like to see a little more technical lingo/stats in there..
I included a complete tech sheet with the photoshoot of my Trump... I hope you can learn some of it.. DicE rules..!!
