what are they ? and are they worth anything? they look in good shape still on car drives an stops fine just going to disc because its going to be going to the drag strip alot when summer gets here
Ray is correct. If they don't adjust on the bottom they are post war. If there is an adjustment at the bottom they are pre war. The end of the spindle looks like someone torqued the nut real good (I bet they won't do that again). ***uming the drums are less than 12.060 the drums and backing plates should be worth a couple of hundred. Check the ads and see the current price. Add another few bucks for the adapter. Check the catalogues to see the current price. Charlie Stephens
dont have dial caliper big enough .but tap measure right on 12 even. no adjuster at bottom. im new to these cars never work on anything older 66
That makes them post war (which I prefer). Find someone with a drum mike so you know what you have and then advertise them here and on fordbarn.com. Charlie Stephens
in drag racing when you get in to round robin theirs not much time between runs no time for brakes to cool down im shooting for mid 11s
Those are '40/'41 hubs and drums. I can't see the adjusters on the backing plates but I suspect they are the same. Postwar drums are mounted with the hub on the outside.
sale pending .230 for everything drums shoes hubs backing plates hoses not many miles on them car was never been ***le since built only drive way an mile up an down road few dozen times
