I'm trying to replace the rubber dust plugs that push into the hole behind the brake back plate but I don't know what they are called.
"Rubber dust plugs" comes up empty. TX!

I think they sell them in the "Help" section of Advanced Auto or Autozone. Not sure what other stores have the little help sections, but they are back plate plugs, at least that is what I have always called them.

Good luck finding those brake backing plate rubber plugs at your local NAPA, Advanced or other parts store.
Had me worried. I thought you were gonna use those new modern rubber spark plugs!;) They are used in the Everglades to make things waterproof.

  7. Not sure what you mean, NAPA had 'em on the shelf for me. The earlier, steel covers might be an issue...

I refer to them as brake shoe adjusting rubber dust plugs.
