ya sam Im sad, first year I have missed it. New job, and the owner of the shop has been outta town for two weeks, and has at least one more to go and I am stuck running the place. At least it gives me more motivation, and I have allready talked my other half into driving her 50 olds over there next year!

I sit at work now, but first thing in the a.m., we're on the road to the Drags. Four hours south of here, I am stoked.

    Yup. Stupid job.
My new carburetor even arrived today, but I haven't gotten enough work done to skip out early and install it.

Ah well. I guess it pays for the parts.

All you guys at MoKan better come back with a lot of video.
I want to hear engines, damn it! Been far too long since I had my car running.

I feel for everyone. Fuel lines are ran, intake is on but no brakes yet. If I tried to make it I couldn't stop.

  13. Now that would be a haul and a half for us Canucks..My consolation is the Oldies at Pacific Raceway next w/e.
Hey Sam..that Egay thing might be worth it for the wheels !! :)

Worked a 13 hour shift yesterday thinking I should be on the road instead of at work. Stopped at the Chevron on the way home last night and put $45.00 worth in the Chevelle. As I'm firing it up to leave the gas station, a cop pulls in front of me, looks me over and then pulls around alongside. I roll down the window and he says: "I thought you'd be on the way to MoKan!"

I have no idea who this cop was, but apparantly he knew my car...

Anyway, you guys who are there, have fun dammit!

  17. This will be the first for me and my buds. The only problem is we"ll be in a 69 instead of the 40.

I'll just stand there and watch like a sick pup.

How you doin, I was all set to go with elpolocko, jerry and milesm out of Phoenixico and I even bought some new rims from brandon for my slicks. But the landlord showed up on the first and said they were selling the house and wanted me to get out. SOOOOOOO instead of mokan I am moving all my shit yet again. Just got here a year ago and i'm tired of moving.

I can't go. The woman and I are buying a house and it's not in the budget until next year. The good thing is that once we get the house bought, I have permission to start buying parts for my hotrod, I can't wait. Oh well, owning a house is gonna set me up better in the long run. Sigh...

If you think old cars are 'spensive, wait till you experience the joys of home ownership. There is always something to do. lol

No kidden. The first week after we moved into our new house, the sewer backed up into our basement-"Welcome to the neighborhood, here is all of our shit"-What a way to start.

was depressed that i could not make it but after seeing the new Moal built roadster at the GG show today, it was Ok. this thing is so bitchin and detailed over the top. I shot over 20 pic of just this car, that many cool details.

  29. So I said.. "Honey, the drags are tomorrow, let's go!
She says, "Or daughter is 2 weeks old!!!"

I said "Right....... she's going to need earplugs"

Well, the lawn will be mowed.
