LOVED this show. Really reminded me of the early days of the Round Up. Focused, relaxed, fun and the people who are involved are all top notch. Thought I'd share some of the images that caught my eye. Also, for me, the best part about this hobby is DRIVING so I captured a few motion shots as well. Enjoy! Friday night, had a blast at the Speed Shop. Spent my time talking rather than taking photos, so don't have much to report here, except for Jesse's GT40 made a grand exit. I'm sure car alarms were going off 3 countys over. Made a late night run over to Lucy's chicken. The food was good, and that sign needs to find a way into my garage. Anyone? Saturday morning roll out to the show...
Immediately after pulling in, it was obvious I was in heaven. Amazing quality builds focused around the era that I'm most enthusiastic about.
I was anticipating Chris Casneys car in person, and it did not disappoint!! I basically made a B-Line over to it and started shooting pics. (Texas Flag Placement Intentional) I love this interior As always, Brian B*** putting that extra level of detail into the small things. Loved the fuel line routing.
Hello MaMa! I spy with my little eye... THE WIZARD!! ...oh, and some wierdo standing next to it! Hahaha! I love this guy!! I also love this regulator! But I love you more Jeffrey.... It is a nice regulator though... hmmm
Food was great! I'm telling you, that Hot Dog was worth every one of those $8!! My wife actually had left overs! Jim Jard's roadster. I'm a dash nut, and Reggie told me apparently he uses 32 dashes of all makes as wallpaper. I love this man. Now to roam and see more cars!! I'm a cabriolet nut, so always love seeing this car around. Great interior!! Jared catching some shade.. It's starting to get a little warm out here! Must be the awesome rides
This 32 was nuts. The amount of small hidden details that kept jumping out all over the place kept you looking for more like an easter egg hunt. Front splash apron reminiscent of old British racers. Functional crank hole. Unity spot lights as the front headlights that will turn with the wheels as he steers. Back window area was slanted forward and peaks added around opening Also Body reveal line added down from drip rail that normal 32 five windows don't have...peak in the rear pan... Cool wishbone treatment Crossed over center exhaust, and was made from a discarded swing set The dash insert had the same pattern as the front backing plates and he said the steering wheel was home made out of basketball hoop Steering set up was really cool. No visable steering box outside the car, but still a pitman arm down by the frame rail
Caught just a few more pictures.... More talking, less shooting... KrupaNut ***yEvelPose (George Costanza style) Dirtys representing! Cant forget Stunt driver Kail. Way to control that beast!!
Sunday morning, took a drive out into hill country with Mr. Ford and DW. Again, my favorite part is driving, and what a blast! "50 Shades of A" Thats about it for me! Thanks go out to Ryan, John Joyo, Bob Bleed, Pierocakes, Mark Ford, Luke for keeping me smiling all weekend (love that guy) Paul Dreadybear, Jeffery James, Tex***peed, Jared, Anderson my brotha, Skotz my new flathead friend (if Piero didn't screw that up) DW and crew, Buzzard - good seeing ya, Kail for being a great stunt driver, Jay for the new old fenders, and everyone else that makes Austin RULE. (I'm forgetting a lot of people, but I really love seeing all of you) Look forward to the next one!! See you on the road!! [/img]
