not sure how your insurance schemes work in your fair and pleasant land, but over here to get a reasonable price we have a thing called classic insurance....to qualify you normally have to provide up to date photos, agree on a reasonable yearly mileage ( in my case 1500 miles per annumm) and away you go.........anyway mine is up for renewal and I`ve changed a few things since last year, so i took a few shots today to submit to my broker... from the front from one side the other interior changed a bit since i last posted photos of it....mainly the colour....but being an artist its my easel..i change things on it all the while....got a shiny v860 almost ready to slot in it........better get the insurance first though monkey
Wow! What an incredible car. I really admire the ladies and gents from the other side of the world. I can't imagine how difficult it is to find reasonably usable and affordable old tin when you're 1,000s of miles from the original place they came from.
whatever side i sit on ...its still a blast to drive........one thing that looks totally out of place is the steering wheel...firstly too big, I`m 6`2" and my knees hit it......I need something in black and around 13" diameter, not the 15" it is now....if anyones got one they wanna part with, let me know....the banjo style is great, but I`m thinking something along the mooneyes/mountney wheel style monkey
thats one sweet roadster!!! can you give more info on your headlamps... is that tinted glass or is there halogen lamps in there? do you have any pics with the lights on?
they do have a blu-ish tint to them....they are from an early truck but thats about all i can tell you
Cheers john....i haven`t forgot the stickers by the way...for some reason our printer is printing in weird colours, try and sort it this weekend.........we always give the nats a miss but i might try and get to shakey for the allstar shindig....depending on what wifeys got planned how about you Tim
Hey Monkey (; )), what size tyres you runnin' front & rear? I've got some 15" 'white bands' (rears - not sure width) for sale, or if'n yer interested, my mates lookin' for some 'white bands' for the front of his rod(5.70's or there abouts). Are you interested? Lemme know. Koops.....
I'm stuck at home on gardening duty while the wife is at work, going over to the Allstars tomorrow, will hopefully see you there. John
Hey Surf Monkey nice ride, them there headlamps kinda look like some 37 ford (uk?) ones i sold to pff kinda like ford 8 ones but bigger overall, Peace 8bb
Koops...they are 15`s x 7`s and i have to admit it would look good with matching rear tyres...pm me a price (bearing in mind i`m poor) 8bb....not sure of the exact year but i did know they were 30`s bobk....didn`t take any of the engine....its not the best looking engine, and I tend to keep the hood on it I`m probably gonna try and sell it soon and get something with a roof ( the weather over here has been fucking awful this summer)...the big decision is should i stick the V860 in it before i sell it or get rid of it as is....I`ve put a lot of effort into that engine and to get rid of it like that would be a bit of a downer....we`ll see monkey
VERY nice ride. And yeah,we have to go through the same insurance hoops here. Lots of effort and the insurance nicely covers everything that won't happen.
I like that roadster! It spells awwwsome all the way around. By the way, why is that steering wheel on the right side? Oh, its across the pond. Cool to see the hobby perpetuating in other countries. RGV
I`m probably gonna try and sell it soon and get something with a roof Don't do that..... ...the big decision is should i stick the V860 in it . .....yes.
