    Hi,

I'm a young boy from Finland (doesn't sound too exciting, doesn't it?) and I'm very p***ionate about hot rods and cars in general. In fact I'm only 13 years old but I've been into hot rods for my life. I just also started automotive photography, and now I've been shooting cars from spring 2012.

How I got so p***ionate about hot rods? Well, it's all because of my dad. He has always been a rodder. At the moment he has for example a '32 Ford Roadster, '57 Chevy Belair, '69 Pontiac Firebird and a couple of others. So, basically I went to car events with my dad all the way when I was like only 3 years old.

My photoshooting rig is very cheap and ****py one, but it's not all about the rig you got. Although I'm gonna update it very soon, probably before January. So, through the summer only camera I ever used was a mirrorless DSLR by Samsung, the NX100 with Samsung's 20-50mm lens. Next camera is probably gonna be Nikon D5100 with a 18-105mm VR-lens. Okay, that's enough for camera rig...

I participated in an automotive photography calendar too. It consisted - of course - of 12 pictures by 6 different finnish automotive photographers.

If you wanna take a look at some of my photos..:
Although the whole site is in finnish.
And here is a straight link to folder "various photos" which doesn't keep too much photos in it:

If you wanna see all the folders, click the ****on "KUVAT" from the "top navigation bar". Not much of 'em.

Okay, that's enough for photography. Oh, and I've been playing guitar for about 6 years now.

Welcome fellow Finn! My last name is Pylkki, my grandparents are from Finland and I want to visit in the next few years. What city are you in? Do you have a Hot Rod? How many car shows/events are there per year in Finland?

Welcome. I looked at some of your photos and I think you're doing great. I'm also glad to see a young man like yourself so interested in these cars. It also reminds me that the shirt I'm wearing is older than you are.

Keep up the nice work, young man.

Welcome kid. It's hard to believe that kids of 13 years old can actually take great pics like you. Your pics are taken so professionally like really. Tell us all something about your dream car. Like what car you wanna buy when you grow up, things that would look for into your dream car etc.

Hello and welcome from Oklahoma. I started young as well. I bought a junk 283 SBC at a garage sale for $2.00 when I was 12 and with the help of my father had it running a few months later. Cars are a sweet addiction.

    Thanks, really appreciated!

I really can't name one and only dream car at least at the moment but the style I like the most is something between a hot rod and a rat rod. Really modern, hi-end accessory -street rods aren't so close to my heart. Something like a 1930 Ford 5wd Coupe, chopped a few inches. Running with a flathead.

But yeah, I still like many of the 60s cars, a bunch of different kind of customs and most of 50s cars too. Hard to name a one and only dream car.

Hot Rods are forever. Build it.
I may only be 10 years older, and have 5 years into research and build. I'm finishing my '30 five window next year. And if I started at your age, I would be driving it around by 18/19 years old. At the age I got into this. Now that is just too cool.
keep it up, and don't lose sight in your dreams.
