Any cool 4 doors? Lets see 'em!!

ah, there is no definition of cool. its just something you feel or see.you know that.dont you? sorry if im rufflin up everyones feathers. but back in the day when our cars were just old cars you didnt build a 4 dr car.2 dr cars were it.unless you were buildin a custom but then most ive seen back then were built with 2 drs.but im not into custome so im just going on what i seen.every guy that had the coolest cars in town always had 2 drs. never knew anyone that wanted 4dr. but with time and cars gettin harder to get 4 drs are now more acceptable.ive seen some good lookin 4 drs. but to me and a whole bunch on here 2 drs were and are the cool ones.they just give off that certian vibe.i got a friend whos been around since the 50s. pure hotrodder/biker. asked him about this very subject yesterday. hes words not mine but they do make sense, the only ones who think 4 drs are cool are the ones who have them...they gotta tell them selves they are cool....in the day 4drs were the ones you cut up to make replacement panels for your 2 dr.

Not a show car by any means, but a lot of fun, even WITH 2 extra doors!

 

1964 Ford Fairlane w/57 hubcaps and a 3 inh drop and running a 289 Stock and slammed.

 

What i don't understand is how a guy who likes station wagons is making fun of mordoors? Shouldn't you be singing the song along with the 4 door people?

Besides i think its much harder to make a more door look cool than it is to make a 2dr look cool. Some of the kustoms shown above are pretty fantastic lookin.

Some like 2 doors, some like 4 doors, it's like women, different shapes and flavors for different people.

According to your logic, I should be running a big block 468 Chevy and 4:56's in my 53 ford in order to be "cool". I have had some damn quick vehicles in my time and I know that a 400 crank in a 350 and a set of 4:11's out back isn't the epitome of coolness or fastness.

If I wanna go fast I will ride one of my bikes.


If I wanna go stupid fast I will do it in my heavily modified Camaro.

I've had several 4 doors some cool some not, but I didn;t have any problem with friends not wanting to ride because it was a 4 door. 64 rambler Ambassador wagon in high school, 327 spd o/d. 100 mph in 2nd easy.

39 ply. 4 dr, 63 falcon 4dr, 62 chevy belair 4dr,............cool enough for my friends and our dates

ok , here goes.im going to set this shit straight.op said any cool 4drs, right.well i said no there isnt.and to me and ALOT of others, not all but ALOT of others think the same thing. did i say there wasnt any good lokin 4dr cars no i didnt, i wont say it because then that would be wrong because there are alot of good lookin 4 drs.i did say i have never owned one,well i havent.i havent seen one that i thought had the cool thing going for it.back in the day everyone wanted 2drs to build.or just drive around in.nobody really wanted a 4dr.sorry but thats a fact. there are exceptions to every rule.when i say everyone i mean the majority of the people.hell i had a friend who drag raced a 4dr wagon. it was stupid fast(i like that sayin) but it just didnt look cool. it didnt have that cool thing going for it.it was a 4dr 57.fast but just not cool.hell he even said it wasnt cool.just what he had at the time he wanted to build a wagon to race.we both loved wagons.still do.just 2dr wagons.were wagons cool back in the day.nope they werent.but they could and have been made to look good.not all 2drs are cool.some just better looking.downtime, ive never,ever made fun of someone else car.not on here or anywere else. i have told some i dont like the car/cars in question but never made fun of another mans pride and joy.and you are right about it being harder to make a 4dr cool in crash bumber is GONE..is it near stock nope not by a long shot.its not street driven either.its for racin only.and i never put anyone car down,o burger,yeah i like tinted windows.that way nobody can see in the back.and it does help to keep the sun off the grandkids when we go cruzin.but the bumber isnt monochrome.its painted flat black.do you know what monochrome really is?if you want to know id prefer to have it chrome but it was rusted up so bad that it just looked better painted.and them arent tt2s on this old car.the ones on the back are a set of old rockets like the old cragar ss.but on front now it does have cragar ss skinnys.love them and buddy if you want to get together and run id be more than happy to get with you.where and for how much.it will have to be after the first of the yr.thats when i can close the shop down for awhile.if your not bsing pm me on how much. now i got come from al. so its got to be a good purse.oh one more person to address. but when a member asked me if this is cool enoygh for you and i said nope(you put up a pic of your car.for some reason i cant seen to go back to the page) sorry but i dont think its got a cool look to it. but its a good lookin ride.there is a difference.like a good lookin lady. she may be hot as hell but still not cool in fact she could be a bitch.each and everyone of you who jumped my butt took what was said out of context.never said the cars on this post were bad cars.i did say they werent cool sorry just the way it or was...lol but there are some damn fine cars here.like that buick for one.and that 2dr, 4dr..... Either way, "cool" can be defined by anyone. What really matters is that the owner thinks its "cool". If anyone else thinks its "cool", thats just a bonus!
