Hello all, I just acquired a 1959 Chevy Apache 3100 from my late grandmother. She wanted to keep it in the family. It was kept in the garage since the late 80's or early 90's. I am looking to bring it back to life. Here is a little info: It is a factory stepside with the spare tire cut out in the fender. It was stored with fuel in the tank. I just prematurely cleaned the tank with MEK. OMG. The gasoline was carmelized. Nothing but varish was coming out. I will post pictures shortly.
Welcome! I have a '58 that's been in my family since about 1964. The neighbor who lived across the street from us when I was a kid, bought it new and I inherited it from my Dad when he passed in 1977. Best of luck with your truck. Post pics!
