That guy has been selling vintage cars for decades. I was at his place almost 20 years ago. Tons of cool cars.

However, there wass talk that he gets alot of his stuff "after midnight", if you get the meaning.

I have been to Geordie's original location outside of Neepawa a few times and felt most of stuff was over priced and typically in worse shape when viewed live. No offense to GV but he is asking a premium for distinctly average stuff.

Now onto a real gold mine! Near Altamount Manitoba is a spot in valley west of Carmen known as Vavavoom garage. I went there over the summer and was shocked! There were ~450 cars and trucks none newer than the 60s. I 'tripped' over multiple A sedans, +3 T coupes, T touring etc. I am hoping to return this fall and take some pics. The prices are typical but fair.

Perhaps the biggest treasure are the parts. I needed some garnish moldings for my A and found a rack of 100s of moldings available (he is aware of the value of '32-'34 trim!) .... I was able to pick through a number of A sets until I found the ones I wanted. I also wanted a nice Caddy air cleaner ... check the stack!

    Anyway enough yacking.

    Later,
    papa al

PS ph/fax to Vavavoom 1-204-248-2221 (ask for Uncle Bill Harrison)

Looks I'm gonna need to make a trip out east. I got family in Manitoba so it looks like this is actually possible to do.

If you can deal with Geordie, good luck. Crazy as a shit house rat comes to mind.
