A friend of a friend lost her husband, she has these cars in the garage. I don't have a clue what they are, or their worth. She does want to get rid of them. Like most people she thinks they are made of gold. I guess they are barn/garage finds lol. I know the blue one is a 28 ford. It ran 2 years ago, hasn't been started since. The first car is a rumble seat i think, the motor and trans are in the car as is the interior. The truck has most of the body parts to go with it. And the model T is just the body parts you see. There are a total of 4 vehicles. It was hard to get good pics
Looks like a '37 coupe or tudor, (hard to tell from the angle) 30-31 pickup, the '28 tudor you mentioned, and a 30-31 coupe. All Ford. All desirable. Oops. First one is a '36. '37 had the headlights in the fenders. Sorry.
Photo 1 & 3 look to be a 36 Ford five window coupe. I'm not sure about the pickup in photos 2 & 5 the green car in photos 4 & 6 is a 28/29 Model A. The gray coupe in the last photo appears to be a 30/31 Model A but I could be wrong on that. Expect a couple hundred pm's on those cars with offers tendered.
Pickup appears to be a 30-31 Model A...blue rumble seat car is a 36 ford coupe...pretty good money car. You're right about the 28 sedan and the incomplete coupe is a 30-31 ford model A.
Others have nailed it, '36 five window, '29 tudor '30 '31 pickup and '30 '31 coupe, but it got me to thinking. I bet if you asked Miss Judy, (my girl) she could name every car in the back yard for year and make (about 10 right now). Wonder why when the late husband was obviously imersed in this collection she had no idea what they were? kinda sad... Sorry, that was off point.
Thanks all! She could care less about cars, it was his hobby not hers. I agree to keep the "boss" in the hobby, it makes spending the cash easier..... Any guesses on value? I know this is a rough question to ask with so little info. Most important, the 36? Thanks again
Marvin, What's fishy? I've been a car guy since I was 16 (55 now), my first car was a 71 340 duster, my current cars are a 66 dodge dart and 37 Plymouth. The coupe is a streeet rod and and runs high 10's. I am a Mopar guy, I did google before posting 35 and 36 fords and the grill looked different to me. And yes, I'm a lurker. I have learned quite a bit and have seen some fantastic body work on this site.
There is some value in all of those, maybe not the sky high Barrett Jackson prices most people think their cars are worth, but certainly not cheap either. Are the doors there for the pickup ? If not, that reduces the value a bit as the doors are always missing from pickups (farmers took them off to make getting in and out easier when doing farm work) and are consequently very pricey.........good ones bring $ 1000 each sometimes. The 36 IMO is the most valuable one there, but I am not an expert by any means. Next most valuable would be the 29 tudor, then the pickup, then the coupe body. The coupe body looks really solid too. Don
36 is around 10K as it sits. The A pickup, $2500-$3500 ***uming it's complete; the tudor $5000-$7500 - cleaned up and running will make it higher. The coupe body is pretty desirable, but I haven't priced one of those lately. Market is tight and your results may vary, but you're on the west coast so that may help. Best bet would be to go through one at a time, clean up, make sure all the parts for it are with it, and sell then. A 30-31 pickup door is like $200-$300, not $1000. A 32-34 pickup door, that can go for $1000 sure. Hell, I bought a 30-31 pickup door once at a swap for five bucks. All it needed was a lower patch panel.
Most of the body parts are there for the pickup. The doors are in the garage are there too. Thanks all!
I wish you were closer to missouri. I want a 30/31 coupe body in just that type of condition for my project. Cali is a long ways to drive for a car though and your prices are probably higher than the prices for the same car in this area. Nice bunch of cars though
Yes, the cars are in So. California, near Pasadena. No, the little old lady does not own them.........LOL
X2. I honestly think the So Cal people pay less than east coast, or northern states. Seems that way, to me.
