Caddy torque through a manual trans should be too much fun.

My 37 with the 303 Olds. had a 37 Ford box and I could blow the box apart on any hard launch , tried 50 Merc. gears in 37 box still same results. It wasn't hard to switch boxes but my supply was running out. Then I changed to the Caddy mill i went with a Caddy 3-speed out of a 52 Caddy. No problem on breakage but i didn't like the way it shifted, due to the pin type syncro's. So i switched to a super t-10 close ratio from a GTO. That was the ticket, but later on when i went to a 3.42 rear the close ratio didn't do the job, when you can hit 70 in low gear you know your geared wrong. So i went to a 65 Muncie wide ratio and that solved the problem it's now more streetable.
