    Hi guys.
Scored this out af an Argentinian 1938 Ford cabriolet

Is this the original 1938 engine ??

    Number on bellhousing: 54F466826**
    Cast number on heads: 52-6050-C

It has a single carb, on a aluminium intake, and the dizzy is equipped with a vacuum advance unit.

Cute little motors. I don't know much about the numbers but i'd clean it up and use it for garage art. I got a pair of aluminum heads and intake for a sixty i'm going to use in the man cave. I've only come across a few of these in my life time.

That is a V8 60. Does it also have tin sides that looked welded?

There are 3 different blocks I believe, Tin sided and normal cast iron, the 1940's had a larger crankshaft. Bob

It's a cast block. I was hoping someone could se what year it was manufactured. I kinda hoped it was never than the car. There were a lot of French built 17 stud engines in Argentina and Bazil. I dreamed of it being a 85 hp french 17 stud, kinda: V8 85 :)
That would be perfect for the next Model A build
