It certainly is an interesting color combo , that's for sure . I can't wait to see the finished product .
Progress has been slow the last little while. I did get a little work done today and it was a nice sunny day so I snapped a couple of new pics. I still need to finnish assembling the doors and the wipers and the finnish up the polishing and.......
Thanks. Yours is coming along nicly too. I don't know about you but I thought the re-assembly after it was painted would go alot quicker.
Those color absolutely shouldn't go together!!! But they do and they do it perfectly!!! Good job on choosing those, now you got me looking at odd colors for my 51 chevy coupe!!!
Seeing all the Rhodies and other trees in your yard made me think you live in Washington! Looking good by the way
I really like the color combination on this one. Stance is great to. I hope you will NOT cover up all those smooth lines on the car with pin-striping. The was it is gives me a feel like this car was built in the early 1950's and used as an ever day driver. Very nice.
I like it.makes me think it is from back in 'the day'. If you do stripe it,make it mild.Wanted to say subtle. jack
I someone had told me what two colors you were going to use, I would have thought they wouldn't work well together. The car looks great!
Got my vote, two thumbs up! That style of Chevy coupe screams for a two-tone. Your color choice sets it apart (in a good way). I like it.
One of the coolest cars I've seen in a while. I saved all the pics that you posted on my HD. The colour combo ist simply great!
Have you seen another blue and gold one? Or just 'cause execpt for the colors it looks alot like yours?
looks great buddy!.. and dont feel bad.. my progress has slowed way down too.. im slowly working on my trim and all the loose ends still
Thanks Rik. That's kind of what I had in mine for the car. I imagined it as an almost new car a younger guy would have had and done a few mild custom things to it with out spending a tonne of money on it. I have thought about adding spot lights for that period correct look but I don't really like the look of them
I keep tripping over all my loose ends. It's the rainy season now anyway so as long as it's all done by spring I'll be happy.
I hear ya about the rebuild after paint going slow. Im still waiting on my taillights to come back from the chrome plater, so I have not been in a rush. Keep at it man, the car is turning out great!
Man that looks good! I'd paint the edge of the rim that you have black, red. That really sets off a car in my opinion. And it's traditional.
