Chrome or painted 1928 model A what's stock

My 28 A bone tudor has a painted grill shell. Did they all come painted or chrome or both? Inquiring minds an all that. Whatddya think ofhaving it br*** plated?

 

If I recall correctly, all p***enger cars were plated and all commercial (trucks) came painted as standard.

Post number 2 is correct . And Br*** is for early T's and knuckle dusters !

Actually, I think it was nickle plated originally.

My 29 has a plated (nickel I think) grill.

 

Correct above, i dont think br*** would look that flash but would depend on what else your car had br*** wise to go with the theme.JW

 

Thanks for the input folks. I'll leave it painted for now, but from what I gather it should be nickle plated. The br*** is out unless I go for some funky color scheme sometime down the road.

 

It doesn't matter to me what they came with originally, I don't like plated A shells at all.

Painted is the way to go IMO.

 

If you pop a deuce grill on then, you don't have to answer the question.
