So, this was my first time at the Burnout. Both as a spectator and a participant. All I can say is KICK ***! The Los Cochino's hosted this year and did a really great job. I don't know how it was run in the past, but traffic going in was well controled and the line moved quickly. I arrived at about 8:30am in anticipation of a long line to get in. Gates opened at 9am. I decided to skip getting some breakfast tacos on the way because I didn't want to be stuck in a line. I should have gotten the tacos. There were maybe 20 cars there and I fell into place. About 10 minutes later, a chick came by and got my info and 15 minutes later, I was driving in. Way smooth! There were lots of cars, considering the size of the parking lot. A very good gathering of hot rods, street rods and customs. I was also pleased to see something I had NEVER seen before and it's in the first few pics. Here's something you don't see everyday.
Probably better for small trenches or graves. Maybe they had a post hole attachment to replace the bucket though. I'm sure they are pretty easy to find.
I thought I did, but I guess not. I walked by it all day too. Here's a few more. Out of all the cars I saw, this one really did it for me. I like 27's and plan on doing one in the future. This one was done really well. From the vintage intake to the minimal interior and color. It just worked,
Gaaah- now I'm really frustrated that I wasn't able to get over there. But your pics are great- thanks!
Something I noticed at the show. I noticed how cramped some guys were in their chopped cars. I saw a few and there was no way they could see traffic lights that we have in most of Houston. I know my t Bucket is small and my legs aren't stretched out like a regular car... but damn! I saw guys that were damned near bent in half. Is the "cool" factor worth the chop? I guess so. Now, I REALLY feel good riding in my roadster. Head room is a good thing.
