    Don't forget the guys in the pic are slim/trim too. Unlike today, fast food nation. The pix still rocks.

    Yea, I had a pair of Lightning Bolts, Snap Jacks, engineer boots and even a pair of ...blue suede shoes ( they were my dad's ).

    Looks like the car in the pic has some "Brow" headlight bezels that the movie car didn't have.

    Years ago I saw a one-man stage play about Sal in which he mentions he desperately wanted the role of Ratso Rizzo in Midnight Cowboy - too bad he didn't get that part, it would have relaunched his career.

    Just found the napkin with Sal Mineo autograph. It's from St. Petersburg, Fl. nightclub called Fogcutter's Moby **** Lounge.

    Being that I am 77. I graduated HS in 1965. I remember the fifties because I had three older brothers that were 3 years, 8 years and 9 years older than me. The people I see at the fifties oldies shows look like cartoons to me for the most part. I am glad they are having fun, but they don't look like the fifties I remember. I don't think I saw a girl with tattoos ever back then. Even the guys that had tattoos didn't have anywhere near as much as you see at the shows. The photo you posted is great, thanks.
