Went to the coolest drive in ever yesterday! Well my brother says he saw in the paper that they are showing Repo Man in Downtown Los Angeles, and their is a scavenger hunt for a '64 malibu? I was pretty interested, so i go on the website, turns out they were having a scavenger hunt through east l.a. and downtown where Repo Man was filmed, they give out clues to find a '64 malibu like the one in the movie, the person who finds all the clues which lead you to find the car hidden somewhere in the city wins the '64 malibu!!! we showed up and tried to sign up and they were full we were bummed! but later in the night they announce the winner of the car and showed Repo Man on an inflatable Drive In movie screen in downtown off of 3rd and Santa Fe where alot of the movie was filmed, their were tons of people. i wish i would have known in advance i would have posted the info up on the HAMB but i myself was told about it last minute. i HIGHLY recommend all you MOVIE geeks like i to check out the website originalalamo.com and click on Road Show, i guess they do cool things like this for tons of other movies across the U.S. it would have been a blast to have participated, anyone in San Francisco they are doing a BULLIT screening this week, i might drive up to make it cause it seems like so much fun! hope i'm not wasting ryans space with this but i just thought it was pretty rad!

The life of a repo man is always INTENSE! but seriously it was pretty rad, i wish they would have allowed more people to enter the scavenger hunt, i would have totally won it! Gawd damn Rodriguez Brothers!

I was an idiot for that movie. When I was in 8th grade this kid I knew had one of the big original theatrical posters from the film. This was in 85 so I couldn't just wait a few weeks for one to show up on ebay, I had to act fast, cause I was an idiot. I traded that kid Daredevil 1-9 for it.

Sweet! man i never would have thought so many people would have showed up to this thing. they even had Q&A with people from the movie. I never would have thought people like comic book man from the simpsons actually existed, but when it was time for Q&A with the cast out they came, it was funny yet rad.

I'm sure everyone realizes I'm a big fan of this movie.

The most common question I get from car people when the see my car is -"What's with the pine tree air freshener?" They think it's out of place on a rod, LOL!

FWIW, I did have a job as a repoman AND have a Black Flag tattoo years before I saw the movie. For years people would make jokes about the movie and expect me to know what they were talking about when I didn't.

"You're a repoman, with a mohawk, and you never saw Repoman?"

I got the soundtrack first. Fans should get the dvd special edition, it has hilarious commentary about the production. For example, since they filmed in LA, the Malibu was stolen halfway through and they had to buy another.

I'm a corporate ***** now, and during money negotiations it hard to resist replying with "**** you queer!" :)

    I'm jealous.

"Oh,...you don't want to look in the trunk",
"Come-on, let's go do some crimes..."
"like eat sushi and not pay"

My repo man video got worn-out from overuse, and I now need to replace my dvd from weekly viewings in the garage while working on the rides. Always great.
