Does anyone else make an adapter like Vern Tardel's slingshot? Where it goes from original 3 bolt pattern to 2x2's? I was going to buy one from Vern, but his foundry went ***s up, apparently.

I don't know, but they have been around forever and made by several sources. They pop up at swap meets here and there.

Check the cl***ifieds here regularly, and post a wanted ad here in the cl***ifieds wanted section.

Also, a decent fabricator can make one for you. Easy.

Oh boy, that's spendy... Vern's was only $85. I may just get an Edelbrock. It crossed my mind to make my own, which would work. But it would be a little "crude".

It's item number 1476. Go to Reds site. At the top you will see where to click for the "online catalog." When that section pops up,put in the search box intake adapter and it will pop up. I just checked and it is still listed. Sorry I don't know how to post a link.

The Vern Tardel adapter was copied from the adapter made by Eastern Auto in the 1950's. It has the name Eastern Auto on it, up and down each side of the adapter. I have one of these adapters for sale. The Eastern Auto name has been polished off and it is mounted on a stock aluminum intake that is in mint condition. If interested let me know.
