Projects Dad's '63 Lemans AWB car

    The modified was finished and is long gone, but the Lemans is finally taking shape! Dad (DrkGrn57) has been hard at work on it lately. He's got a lot of free time to fill now as a retiree. :D

    In '07 when we picked it up...

    And more current shots. Backhalved with big tubs to fit the 10" slicks on Cragars.

    Full cage mostly installed now.

    Straight axle setup mounted to the stock front subrails.

    He figured out a way to use the stock steering box as well.

    Coming next will be the engine and trans install, it's getting a 455 Pontiac (what else??) and a th400. I'll post updates as they come!

    There hasn't been a whole lot to post here, but today I finished putting together the shortblock for this beast. 455 .030 over, nodular crank, billet 4-bolt main caps from Butler Performance with ARP studs, forged Eagle rods and Wiseco pistons, Clevite "H" series bearings. She's a beaut!
