    It was a nightmare.

I cut the centers out of a set of mid sixties Galaxy 14" hub caps. I picked those because the centers have a shape I could cut without a lathe.... meaning they had an edge I could go by.

I also wanted the center to be recessed, I didnt want the center to stick out like a cone.

Then I cut the centers out of a set of moon caps, Galaxy centers drop in the hole.Drill and tap the wheels...Prime, paint satin black, whala.........Sound easy, but its a wonder they came out.

This is going to sound crazy, but without a lathe big enough to cut something 17", I had to do each cap mounted to the wheel, mouned to the pickup..... With it running in gear. Carbon monoxide poisoning every time I jacked with these things.

Its the only way I could get everything exactly centered.

Each cap is specific to its own wheel, Freakin nightmare.

There is alot more to keeping these things centered than the screws. There are stainless 1/8 guide pins welded in the lip of the wheel........It was a bunch of jackin around.

That is really a cool little truck. I love the inlines and that's a very nice application. What engine is it?

The hubcaps are a great idea too. I don't much care for moon discs usually, but you added a ton of character to them with those modifications. The caps and the six really make the truck for me. Well done.

Its a ford 300, I built the intake and exhaust, fuel lines are all stainless and all the stainless linkage.
    Backed by a C-4.

Dont look at the brake lines, that was temp. They have been redone

I like it. Like the mini keg instead of a moon tank too. Generally not a big fan of the "moon tank in front of the grill" thing, but I like that you put your own spin on it. Cool truck.

    Thanks

I made that from two 60s coleman heater bottoms. Its serves as the puke tank.

I've had three of those Ford 300's. One of Ford's best engines,if not the best. They should still be using them instead of the junk v6's they've made since '96.
