I'm a little behind but will catch up the build. Bought this 5 window from Cali. Saw it for sale and had to have it. This is it being load on the trailer for a trip east. Can't see much but will catch up
Off to a friends house . He's going to help me put in the patch panels. I was going to give it a shot but was talked out of it. I'll pratice on something else first.
Got a call yesterday exterior panels were in. Checked it out and looks great. Coming back to the shop this week.
Picked up a 331 Caddy ............. Dropped of at Daves shop ( Dave 50) for a rebuild Picked up a 37 Roadmaster top loader gear box with Olds gears from Frank. (F&J)
Definitely savable in today's world. I can remember the time when one in this shape might have gotten scrapped. The use of correct patch panels and complete bodies have set a new standard as to what is saveable and what is not.
I like the big chop, like before the deuce was so sacred. Today, everybody is afraid to chop one like that, it's all about resale value now. The 2" chop is what the elites go for. Great start on a bass ass car, it looks to be in really nice shape. Get the rear wheels up to the fender line, like anybody cares what I think, but with a top nice and low, the rest of the car should follow, IMO, then the whole car looks mean. Anyway, great going. Put something fat in the engine bay to fill it up like Hemi rocker covers. A SBC gets lost in there, the hole is too big. Why am I telling you how to build your car? Just ignore this post. Great start.
Guess Iwill follow along on this one Paul! Looks like we are keeping Dave50 busy! He has my 324 as well.
Great looking coupe, love the chop !!! I know you'll be happy with the motor rebuild. Dave did my SBC last winter. He really knows his stuff !! Subscribed.
