I know that a lot of guys use them in the Vintage Euro scene. I've sat in some Corbeaus in older BMW's (2002's and a CS) that were downright comfy, but my **** hasn't test driven any of their fixed-back stuff yet.

  3. Thanks !
Prices aren't out of line but I'd sure like to sit in one before I order a pair.
I don't think that will happen but hearing from someone helps too.

I called them a while back to find a stocking dealer, and I found one in Utah, whichis also where Corbeau USA is located. I sat in quite a few of their seats. They are nicely made, and mostly comfortable. The Jeep seats don't have a lot of lateral (side bolster) support.
I did sit in a Pro Car Rally seat at Jeg's Columbus store, and it felt about perfect for a street seat.

I was sponsored by Corbeau in my rally racing days. They were wonderful seats, well made and comfortable. BUT those are basically a copy of the original off road racing seats from Beard and to my eye look WAY TOO OFF ROAD for use in a Hot Rod.
I think the ones like this would be more appropriate; http://corbeau.com/products/fixed_back_seats/cl***ic_ii/

As for ProCar, the biggest issue I have with their seats are they are VERY HEAVY!

The SpeedWay buckets look more traditional if you are going for for store bought.

I've had some in 70's European cars, very comfortable, with a lot of lateral support, mine were similar to the cl***ic buckets but with grommeted holes in the upholstery. They were fairly narrow to fit European cars and I was somewhat lighter then, all in all they are a comfortable and supportive seat, ( tip make sure when setting up that they support the thigh / hamstring muscle or you will feel sore after a long journey, I'm sure this has been covered elsewhere, shim the sub frame or make different brackets, these are some of the best seats ever for a cl***ic mini.)

15 years ago I had Corbeau seats in a custom VW. Loved them but my *** was a lot narrower than not a lot of room for big ****ed girlfriends.

I have the corbeau baja suspension seats in my OT prerunner, really comfy but the side bolsters are a bit narrow for bigger folks. Wanted the 36" bench version for my T coupe, but it is too wide - otherwise I wouldn't have hesitated at all.

Loved my corbeau ss recliners i had in my OT rockcrawler. Honestly i prefered to use it as a daily driver over my other newer rides because of how comfortable the seats were. Mind you i was 230lbs and 5 10 and they fit great. Bigger guys wont be as comfortable with the bolsters. Price point and quality is second to none. Research Suspension seats and you will learn alot about how the reduce fatigue and are comfortable. But they arent for every ride.

  18. When I try to research suspension seats, I get lots of hits for corbeau.
I can't find much on the basics or theory of suspension seats.

I am prety sure I had the gts

  20. Well today I drove 2 hrs 1 way to see some.
I gotta say that is one comfortable seat. There were 6 different styles of corbeaus to try and about 18 others. By far the corbeaus were the nicest quality and most comfortable and the ss being the best for me anyway. They could be difficult to get in and out of if you like to slide off the end.

To me they have a lot of similarity and parallels to the Laundromat fibergl*** bucket seats.
I realized I may be alone on that but what the hell. Just with better padding and the suspension technology.

I may just get a pair for my daily too, that 4hrs was not eaay

  21. I had a set of Corbeau GT seats in my 64 Mini Estate and they were extremely comfortable.I also weighed about 100 lbs. less than I do now and they were very form fitting(high side bolsters;one piece;no reclining).Took a trip from M***achusetts to Michigan and back with no driver fatigue at all. Here's a poor pic of the interior of the Mini.
